Axa has cut its loss adjuster panel to just two following a nine-month review. The decision was apparently delayed twice before the final announcement.
Cunningham Lindsey and GAB Robins were selected from a panel of six adjusters for a three-year period beginning in early 2001.
The firms which are believed to have not made the final panel include Miller Pycraft and the Wirral-based Ashworth Mairs Group.
Axa director of resourcing, Gary Caswell said: "Cunningham Lindsey and GAB Robins were selected because of their fit with Axa business and their overall technical and commercial capabilities."
He added: "It is important to stress that every one of the adjusting firms that took part in the review exemplified a high level of commitment to customer service."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
