Former AXA personal lines strategic partnerships head joins online broker

Karen Hogg AXA

AXA’s former personal lines strategic partnership director Karen Hogg has been named commercial director at online personal lines broker iGO4.

Hogg left AXA earlier this month amid a shake-up of the insurer’s personal lines division.

In her new role, Hogg will report to iGO4 chief operating officer James deRose.

iGO4 chief executive Matt Munro said: “We have built a fantastic team at iGO4 and having the best people in the right roles is crucial.

“We are delighted to welcome Karen to our senior team and look forward to her key contribution in supporting our aggressive growth plans for our direct business and further establishing ourselves as the partner of choice in our target markets.”

Hogg added: “iGO4’s track record is impressive. They have grown quickly, underpinned by a culture of innovation and profitable growth for insurers and other trading partners, which is appealing to me. They do business in the right way. I can see the opportunities that lie ahead and I am looking forward to being a part of this dynamic team.”

Hogg worked in a variety of roles at AXA in her seven years with the company, including director of panel partnerships and managing director of personal lines intermediary.

Before joining AXA Hogg spent almost nine years at Kwik Fit Financial Services, where she was head of insurer development.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
