Cooper will remain as shareholder and board member at iGO4
iGO4 co-founder and executive director Tom Cooper has taken on an additional role of overseeing Direct Group’s product and pricing capability.
He has joined the business with immediate effect, initially as a consultant, reporting to distribution services director Stuart Pendleton.
He will head up and help to develop the group’s product and underwriting portfolio.
Pendleton said Cooper’s appointment forms part of the group’s ongoing restructure into two core divisions; claims services and distribution services.
He added that the group is poised to accelerate the wholesale distribution of its standard and non-standard property, as well as exploring other product options.
“We have already announced significant new investment in technology to grow a customer-focused distribution strategy, and expect to be able to announce some significant new contract wins during the next few weeks,” Pendleton said.
“Tom is a class act. He is hugely experienced in the insurance industry and we are delighted to be able to have him on the team.”
Cooper says he will continue to maintain a “healthy” interest in iGO4, where he remains fully involved in their pricing and trading performance, and as a shareholder and board member.
