Ryan Direct Group (RDG) today announced a three-year agreement to handle claims for Barbon Insurance Group.

Under the deal, RDG will provide full claims management for Barbon’s let property book, from first notice of loss (FNOL) through to settlement and contents validation.

The agreement comes just months after RDG announced a property claims handling deal with underwriting agency Pen Underwriting.

Barbon chief executive Martin Totty said: “RDG put together a compelling proposition for us. Our let property book is a key part of our business and we look forward to working with the RDG team to serve our customers and deliver business growth.”

RDG is the UK arm of US business Ryan Specialty Group and has more than 450 staff in five UK offices.

RDG claims services director Russell Crewe said: “We are thrilled to be working with such a prestigious client.

“Insurers are starting to move away from traditional claims provision, involving multiple hand-offs to a number of other suppliers, in favour of total claims solutions with a strong and flexible technology application.

“This is the market space RDG now occupies and we are very excited by the opportunities coming our way.”

On the back of the deal, RDG has announced that it will be recruiting for new roles in 2015, across all of their claims handling sites, to manage their growth.
