Behaving well

Life's a beach, but only if you can insure it. So goes the lesson being learned by Men Behaving Badly star Neil Morrissey and business partner Matt Roberts.

The two, who own the New Three Mariners pub, have offered to pay the public liability insurance for their local beach, Pendine in Carmarthenshire. The beach was closed to vehicles following safety concerns, which were putting off tourists and locals.

Roberts said: "In the past ten days, we've had a number of complaints from customers not being able to go there.

"Instead of having a working party or sub-committee, let's just get the beach back open now. If it is about money, Neil and I will pay."

This sounds like an invitation for an ambitious broker.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
