‘Her leadership will be instrumental as we evolve our claims offering,’ says head

Liberty Specialty Markets has appointed Niala Butt as its new head of casualty claims for the UK.

Butt will lead the insurer’s casualty claims function, with a focus on trend analysis, operational efficiency and stakeholder engagement.

According to Liberty, her industry knowledge and experience working directly with insureds will support the business’s aim to deliver “greater claims value across the insurance lifecycle”.

She will be based in London and report to Nik Mahida, head of third-party claims for the UK and Mena at Liberty.
