Brokerslink has appointed Nova Insurance Consultants’ Conrad Wong to its board of directors.
The appointee holds the position as chief commercial officer at Nova Insurance Consultants, which is one of the largest independent insurance brokers in Hong Kong.
He is also the managing director at Beijing Nova Insurance, which is the broker’s operation in China.
Prior to joining Nova Insurance, Wong was commercial director of Euler Hermes – now known as Allianz Trade.
José Manuel Fonseca, president and chief executive at Brokerslink, said: “I’ve known Wong for many years and he is an undisputed expert in cultivating international business partnerships across our industry.
”This experience makes him an ideal person to join the Brokerslink board and support our ongoing mission – to build a highly collaborative insurance and risk ecosystem for the benefit of our brokers and their clients.
Stepping down
Wong’s election to the board as Nova’s representative comes due to the retirement of Nova chief execuctive Patrick Chan at the beginning of July.

Since becoming a partner in 2009, Chan played a key role in establishing Brokerslink’s presence in the Asia-Pacific region.
Fonseca added: “I’d like to thank Chan for his many years of service, both to the Brokerslink network and the wider industry. His significant contribution to the APAC insurance markets is a testament to his dedication and commitment to his profession.
”We wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement.”
