New addition to Acturis platform announced at this year’s conference
Beazley is set to launch a new insurance product for marine cargo by the end of May.
The product, which was announced today at the Biba conference, will be offered by Beazley UK’s marine team on its Acturis platform.
It covers worldwide exposure for international import, export, goods in transit and stock throughput risks. The product will also include cover for exhibitions, demonstrations, engineers’ tools and equipment, and sales representatives’ samples at no additional cost, up to an agreed limit on each section.
Beazley UK marine cargo underwriter Stephen Smyth said: “The marine market at Lloyd’s has a rich history of innovation, and the launch of our cargo product on Acturis is in that tradition.
“The system simplifies access for brokers, is easy for them to administer and delivers contract certainty. By making our product available online, we are extending greater choice to our distribution partners.”
Acturis insurance development director Thomas Stuart said: “We are delighted to welcome Beazley onto the Acturis platform. The Beazley cargo product will be available to Acturis brokers on the open market cargo question set.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
