Lloyd’s insurer hunting for new finance chief

Brit’s deputy finance chief Nigel Meyer will step into the finance head’s role while the company seeks a replacement for Scott Eagan.

Eagan has left Brit to become finance director of broking group Towergate.

Meyer will be supported in his expanded role by group financial controller Anthony Usher. Both will report directly to Brit chief executive Mark Cloutier.

“Scott has been a good colleague and we are sorry to see him go. We wish him well in his new role,” Cloutier said of Egan’s departure.

Egan became Brit’s finance chief in January 2011 after four years of managing Zurich UK’s finances.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
