PricewaterhouseCoopers, Independent Insurance's liquidators, must arrange more meetings with brokers, according to liquidator Dan Schwarzmann.

He said he also needed to consult the creditor's committee before releasing details of the deal on return of premiums.

Schwarzmann said he needed to ensure every significant broker group had been consulted before he proposed a deal for all ex-Independent agency brokers.

He said the deal was so significant that it also needed to be presented to the creditor's committee for approval.

Schwarzmann said he expected the meetings to be held in the near future.
