Brokers and intermediaries can now spin their own webs on the internet, thanks to a new email-based quotes service.
Birmingham-based The Quote Company offers internet surfers the chance to fill in online quote applications. These forms are then redistributed to The Quote Company's supporting brokers that can offer the policyholders quotes.
“We are passionate about this industry, and we believe that brokers have a future,” said director Graham Twist. “We will not offer quotes ourselves, and we won't set up our own brokerage either.”
Twist said that the site was generating more than 1,000 leads per month, with an excess of £20,000 in premium income for the company's two biggest supporting brokers.
The Quote Company charges supporting brokers per lead generated.
