I have just read the Backchat article (5 August, Insurance Times) regarding AXA's answer to dealing with the backlog of paperwork. If you ask insurance brokers generally you will find that AXA has been operating a system for ages where it does not answer the phone but leaves you in a voicemail system - five days a week.

It's nothing new, most insurers have the same system in place.
