Capita Insurance Services has been appointed to provide emergency maintenance services for Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) home insurance claims. The contract, which will be managed by Capita's Claims Services Division, is estimated to be worth £3.5m over three years.

Capita Insurance Services has been appointed to provide emergency maintenance services for Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) home insurance claims. The contract, which will be managed by Capita's claims services division, is estimated to be worth £3.5m over three years.

A nationwide network of emergency contractors will provide the services and Steve Maddock, director of claims at Capita will oversee the Contract.

The services will be provided on a 24-hour, 7-day a week basis from Capita's regional centre in Sittingbourne and include appointing contractors to handle R&SA policyholder's emergency requirements as well as managing the performance of the contractors against a defined service level agreement.
