Cheshire Datasystems (CDL) has launched a new internet quotes system that links directly into the broker's back office system.
The software house says it has been working with "a number of very big brokers" to develop its internet strategy. Two brokers – Oughtred & Harrison and Wilsons – have already deployed CDL technology to provide on-line quotes.
CDL says two big brokers will be providing on-line quotations within the next month and others are poised to follow.
A company spokesman said: "We recognised that the internet is only one channel and it has to work in a multi-channel environment. With our internet strategy, we have linked channels so that the broker always know the status of a policy."
