More than 1,000 employees at Chelsea Village PLC - home to Stamford Bridge - have signed up to Medicash to receive low cost private medical insurance.
The 1,500 employees at Chelsea Village PLC have been given the opportunity to sign up to Liverpool-based health cash plan provider Medicash.
Medicash is a healthcare insurance provider, working within over 3,500 workplaces across the UK and Northern Ireland - providing a low cost alternative to private medical insurance.
Chelsea Village PLC is a business, leisure and entertainment complex, built around Chelsea's Stamford Bridge ground, and features hotels, a health club, restaurants, shops and business premises. It is also the location for the official Chelsea television channel, CDM.
From February, Chelsea Village employees will be able to take advantage of the Medicash package, which offers cover from as little as £8.67 per month via a payroll deduction.
The plan pays out cash for more than 20 benefits, such as dental treatment, new glasses/contact lenses, stays in hospital, and even physiotherapy.
Medicash sales manager Val Hayer, who co-ordinated the signing up of Chelsea Village, said it was great news for the healthcare provider.
Chelsea Village group payroll manager Paul Simpson said: "We wanted to offer our employees the best health cash plans available. The benefits on offer are excellent and both parties are happy with the deal."
