The CII has appointed four new members to its London market faculty advisory board.

The new members are appointed: Sian Fisher head of agency at Oxygen, Julian James, currently director of worldwide markets at Lloyd's, Max Taylor deputy chairman of Aon UK and Dave Matcham chief executive of the International Underwriting Association (IUA). Rupert Atkin of Talbot Underwriting has stood down from the board.

David Gittings, chairman of the faculty said, “These changes are very welcome as the London Market Faculty enters its second phase. We now have a board that truly represents the London market and has real leadership qualities. We are very sorry to see Rupert leave the board as he has been an excellent representative but we are looking forward to the future development of the faculty.”

The London Market Faculty was launched at the end of 2004 and is a centre of technical excellence and good practice for those working in the market. Since its launch it has assisted the CII to deliver its certificate in contract wording qualification to help the market meet the needs for contract certainty.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
