The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) will be holding its learning and development forum on Thursday 9 September 2004 from 9:45 am – 3:45 pm at 20 Aldermanbury, London EC2V 7HY.

A round table discussion will take place when all delegates will have an opportunity to discuss and to share ideas on setting standards and benchmarking.

The controlled functions and key FSA roles that will be examined are:

The Chief Executive
The Finance Manager
The Compliance Manager
The Risk Management Manager
The Supervisor

By listening to specialists from the FSA and the industry and taking part in a proactive analysis of how others measure that competence, delegates should be better able to set standards that are relative and comparative with other similar organisations, said the CII.

Each speaker will work to a specific job specification formula and within that give their ideas on the tasks, skills, knowledge and understanding, past experience and qualifications that might be needed for each role in a given situation.

For each role delegates will have the opportunity in groups, to discuss the benchmarks and standards of competence that might be appropriate.

Price (including lunch): £60 for CII members; £75 for non-members
