Collegiate launches new PI underwriting facility with Canopius

Collegiate Underwriting has launched a new professional indemnity underwriting facility with Canopius, through its flagship Syndicate 4444.

This underwriting authority replaces its previous arrangement with Hiscox Insurance Company.

Collegiate has a long-running facility with Canopius to underwrite IFAs and this has now been extended to cover most UK-based SME general and miscellaneous professions.

Ben Randall, who previously managed the Hiscox facility and will underwrite the general professions, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to build on the experience and reputation Collegiate has gained from over 25 years of underwriting and claims management. 

“Working in partnership with Canopius will allow us to continue to offer clients across a broad spectrum of professions competitively priced policies with excellent coverage backed by Lloyd’s security.”
