"Co-mingling rules could sink brokers" (News, 14 October). I am sure that the reported comments are meant in good faith, but they fail to take into account that a modern, well run brokerage, with good credit control will not face the risks so described.

I believe the proposed rules have offered my firm the chance to review business practices and to see where such matters as better credit control could actually increase profit. To me the idea that one only offers cover to those that pay is sound.
