FSA regulation is not a guarantee that a firm will have honest business practices, Simon Burgess, managing director of Burgess has warned after a court case victory on 5 August.
Burgess had taken legal action against Alan Vance, managing director of Campbell Hunter Consultants, who is FSA authorised, after he had unilaterally stopped paying commission due and lied to justify his actions.
Burgess was awarded over £128,000 to cover outstanding commission and accrued interest.
