Former Swinton and Towergate executive takes on key role at Covéa Insurance

Covéa Insurance said it has appointed Carolyn Callan (pictured) as its new head of small business and schemes.

Callan joins the insurer having previously held senior roles at Swinton & Towergate. She was responsible for setting up the commercial division of Swinton as director of commercial insurance, and more recently, was responsible for business development and marketing strategy for Towergate’s SME and advisory broking operation.

“Carolyn has extensive experience of the broker market and a proven track record of driving profitable growth in small business and e-trading,” said Covéa Insurance’s director of commercial lines and HNW.

“Her appointment will enable us to continue to develop our proposition to meet the needs of our brokers.”

The previous Head of Small Business and Schemes, Tim Grant, moves to a newly created role focused on innovation and business transformation in the insurer’s commercial lines and high net worth team.
