Crawford & Co has announced that Andries Willemse, currently country manager of Crawford's South African operation, is being promoted to a worldwide role within the Business Solutions Group (BSG).
Reporting to Jonathan Clark, head of BSG, Willemse's role will encompass management of regulatory compliance, quality control and training and development. Willemse will be appointed vice president, quality & compliance and will join the global property and casualty management team.
Willemse will take up his new role in the second half of 2007, once the handover to his successor in South Africa has been completed.
Jeffrey T Bowman, chief operating officer for Crawford's global property & casualty services, said: “This move recognises Andries' professional and academic achievements. It is also a clear demonstration of our ability to promote talented people to senior positions from anywhere in the world.”
