Boat buyers worried about becoming ensnared in tangled legal wrangles will get peace of mind from DAS' up-graded marine legal protection policy.
DAS Legal Expenses has expanded the policy to include cover for contract disputes in addition to accident loss recovery.
Other features of the policy are personal injury cover, uninsured loss recovery and a 24-hour helpline service.
The policy's territorial limits have also been enhanced to include popular sailing destinations such as the Canary Islands and parts of the Mediterranean.
Tony Buss, assistant general manager of DAS Legal Expenses, said: "This policy addresses the special needs of boat owners so that they can take out the policy for a new craft and if problems arise over purchase DAS can help seek redress."
