Craig Parsons named as troubled card insurer’s finance chief

Brent Escott Capita

Brent Escott has been named chief executive of troubled credit card insurer CPP Group.

Escott joined the firm on 17 June  2013 as interim deputy chief executive, following his departure from outsourcing firm Capita last year, where he was managing director of the general insurance division.

CPP has also named Craig Parsons as chief financial officer.

Parsons has had a senior role in CPP’s finance function since 2002, most recently as director of tax and treasury.

The appointments follow CCP being forced to pay £1.3bn in compensation to the seven million customers who were mis-sold credit card and identity protection cover.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
