Two companies in the industry have decided to raise money in particularly obscure ways.
Scottish insurer Ecosse is offering the chance to "push an underwriter off a great height" when its staff abseil off the Finnieston crane on 1 September to raise money for the charity SenseScotland.
Backchat is told it is an "exceptionally tall crane".
And Redrose Property Services has organised a team of ten cyclists to ride tandems 300 miles across Cuba in five days, starting out on
30 September. It hopes to raise £500,000 for the disabled charity, Norwood.
Those wishing to sponsor Ecosse should ring: 0141 249 6800. To sponsor the Cuban cyclists: 01923 227373.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
