AXA Université has named the first 25 brokers to have graduated from its Chartered Insurance Institute accredited management training programme.

The five day course, which has been running since 2001, is aimed at newly-appointed directors or managers, and established directors who may have not received any management training, AXA said.

The course takes place at the AXA Université in Suiduiraut, Bordeaux and covers topics including: management style assessment, keeping staff informed, promoting communication, and managing change.

Colin Calder, head of broker development at AXA, said: “So far around 70% of our Premier Partners have attended a session and we have received very positive feedback from delegates.

“The training course not only provides a means to say to the regulator – ‘I am being trained', but also the chance to learn some useful management and business tools, which our partner brokers can take back to the office.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
