Andreas Loucaides, Jubilee Managing Agency

No place like home...

I was born in Cyprus and my family came to the UK in the 1960’s. I don't tend to spend holidays there as I might get called up for national service. Strangely, my wife seems keen for a visit!

Hammer time...

I am a big fan of West Ham. I make it to most home games with my son, Alex.

Away day blues...

In 2006, when I was with Catlin, we managed to organise a corporate awayday that clashed with the FA Cup Final when West Ham played Liverpool at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. The Hammers hadn’t won since 1980 so at noon on Saturday we all left the event and travelled to Cardiff by helicopter. Unfortunately, Liverpool won!

Tee'd off...

I'm a golfer. I play off a handicap of 20 and I'm a member of Romford Golf Club.

Big impression...

I first met Theodore Agnew, CEO of Jubilee Managing Agency, in 1991 when I was at R.E Brown syndicate 702. Theodore was setting up Town & Country and was looking for an underwriter for his ULR product. Most of the London market had turned him away, but I wrote the account which remained in place for 15 profitable years.

Andreas Loucaides is director of underwriting at Jubilee Managing Agency. He is a former chief executive of Catlin UK and founder of PRI Group.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
