Parsons makes fortune from business she started at kitchen table eight years ago
Gocompare founder Hayley Parsons has banked £44m from the sale of price comparison site Gocompare, it emerged today.
Esure, which already owns half the business, paid £95m for the remainder of the website. It means Parsons will net £43.7m for her share.
Parsons founded the business in 2006 with funding from insurance industry private investor Tom Duggan.
Prior to Gocompare, Parsons worked for Admiral-owned aggregator Confused.
