Four new additions push Compass past £550m GWP mark

Arthur J Gallagher-owned broker network Compass added four new members in July – two from rival Cobra Network.

Bromley-based broker HE Howe and Staffordshire-based Bentley Insurance Services have joined Compass from Cobra. One of the other new members, Macclesfield-based Lloyd Bolam, was not previously a member of a network.

Compass did not name the fourth new joiner.

The four new joiners have collectively added £20m of gross written premium  (GWP) to Compass, taking the network past the £550m mark.

All four have joined Compass’s Select proposition, designed for brokers generating more than £3m GWP.

Two more new members are expected to join Compass’s Westinsure division innAugust, adding a further £3m GWP to the network overall.

Compass managing director John Lincoln said: “We’re delighted to welcome yet more members from the UK’s strong and successful independent broker community into Compass and are fully committed to helping them compete more effectively and grow their businesses further.”

Lloyd Bolam managing director Simon Bolam said: “Having not previously been a member of a broker network, we were looking for a genuinely compelling proposition — and found that in Compass’s Select offering.”
