Andy Smallwood has resigned after three years at the broker

Arthur J Gallagher national development director Andy Smallwood is the latest big name to leave the insurance broker, Insurance Times has learned.

Smallwood worked at Gallagher for nearly three years and was part of the broker’s retail operating committee that was announced in May.

Prior to Gallagher, Smallwood was managing director of Towergate Retail’s Midlands division.

Gallagher was not available for comment.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
