RK Harrison, has expanded its schemes division through the appointment of Tim Hicks as a London market corporate broker.

Hicks will be developing new commercial facilities in the London market to expand the range of products and services RK Harrison is able to offer UK brokers.

He previously worked as a senior broker for John Holman and Sons.

As part of the company's continued commitment to the Bermuda insurance and reinsurance marketplace, two of RK Harrison's London-based brokers have relocated to Bermuda.

Marcus Turner, as a divisional director, will be heading up the north American property division for the Bermuda office.

He will be involved in business development and the designing and placing of all property business on the island.

Carly Stock will be responsible for the placing and servicing of medium to large north American casualty clients within the Bermuda office.


Aon
Aon has appointed Paul Stacks as business development manager to boost business growth for its specialist travel team. Stacks is responsible for managing existing accounts and developing new business opportunities with travel operators and consolidators that provide travel insurance to their customers.

Prior to joining Aon, Stacks worked at Journeys travel insurance for over three years where he built up experience in client management, marketing and e-commerce.


FMW
Vicky Moss has been recruited by Essex based FMW as a claims handler.

Moss started her career in insurance three years ago working as a claims handler for Heath Lambert Group.

QBE
QBE has announced four new recruits to the recently launched Emilio Di Silvio Syndicate 5555.

Graham Daldry who previously worked with Di Silvio in Allianz, has joined as underwriter for products and airports.

Daldry will be aided by Mark Sperring, previously of Ace, who has joined the team as assistant underwriter.

Anthony Prokopiou, who has also previously worked alongside Di Silvio, has joined Syndicate 5555 as underwriter for general aviation.

On the claims side, Stewart Farlow, previously of XCS, has joined the team as claims adjuster.


NIG
NIG has made two appointments to its underwriting & pricing team

John Inwood, becomes head of complex SME underwriting, joins NIG from Zurich where he was head of casualty for Zurich Global Corporate UK.

Inwood's responsibilities include driving NIG's SME underwriting strategy, account and product management, and pricing for its developing SME complex business.

David Cahoon, becomes head of SME packages and home underwriting, joins NIG from Provident Insurance where he was sales and marketing director.

Cahoon will be responsible for underwriting strategy, product development and pricing of NIG's SME packages and home accounts.


Chubb
Jeremy Miles has been appointed head of Chubb Specialty Insurance for UK and Ireland. Miles will oversee various lines of business including directors' & officers' liability, crime, professional indemnity, and financial institutions.

Miles left Chubb Insurance last year for a short period to work at Willis, where he was an executive director for the financial and executive risks division.

He will be responsible for clients, market liaison, and product development strategy as well as the overall direction of the London and regional operations.
Before working at Willis he was at Chubb Insurance for almost 10 years; his last role was as UK and Ireland production manager for CSI.

Hugh James
Hugh James has appointed Philip Dicken as head of insurance to drive the development of its products and services for insurers, brokers, captives and others in the sector.

Dicken, a partner with the firm, will be responsible for all insurer and intermediary relationships.

His role will be pivotal in the development of new and innovative products and bespoke solutions for insurers, corporate bodies and brokers.


Weightmans
Chris Green has joined Weightmans as lead partner for regulatory services work in the midlands, working out of the Birmingham office. Green was previously employed by Berryman Lace Mawer, where he led the health, safety and regulatory team in Manchester.

Green knows Birmingham well, having been a member of the city council's legal department for five years in the late 1990s.

Roger Sellek has been appointed as executive director, board practice at EJSSearch.

Sellek is a well known figure in the international reinsurance community having held a series of senior positions in Lloyd's, most notably as Lloyd's commercial director, since 2000.


CMGL
CMGL has appointed Michael Tait to the newly-created role of executive chairman.

He was previously Europe-Africa vice president and general manager of Unisys Corporation.

Tait's role as executive chairman replaces the role of non-executive chairman, previously held by Cees Schrauwers.
