Smart and Cook has promoted Skipton branch manager Simon George to branch director.
George has worked at Smart and Cook for nine years.
Heath Lambert Nationa
Heath Lambert National has formed a Yorkshire business unit to build on the local relationships of the company's offices in Hull, Leeds and Sheffield.
Nick Pay, based in the Leeds office, will head the unit's management team.
Paul Sleight has also been appointed as head of office in Hull, leading the drive to develop the business locally and as part of the new unit.
Miller Insurance Service
Miller has appointed Rob Collecott from Price Forbes as energy director.
John Eke & Partners
John Eke & Partners has appointed Richard Gainey as client service executive in the new business department of its Midsomer Norton office.
Focus has appointed Dave Robson and Iain Neighbour as broker development executives for the North and South West respectively.
Robson joins from NIG, where he was new business commercial underwriter,
Neighbour joins from Endsleigh, where he was commercial business development executive.

Stuart Williams has joined FP Marine Risks' London office as part of the company's drive to strengthen its hull and machinery insurance offering. Williams joins from Aon Marine.
Colin Toppin has been appointed accident and health manager at Allianz Cornhill Commercial.
Toppin previously worked for Ansvar and London & Edinburgh, where he was assistant manager of group personal accident and travel.

Legal & General has appointed Garry Skelton as marketing director of its general insurance business. Skelton joins from Barclays.
Ace European Group has appointed Clare Ryalls as package underwriter in its Manchester branch.
Alasdair MacKay joins Ace from St Paul Travelers as casualty underwriter in Glasgow.
Intech Solutions has appointed Gary Hurley as sales executive responsible for developing the network and integration channel.
Coface has appointed Walter Kee as commercial manager for Ireland.
Kee will join the firm in June from Atradius, where he has worked for over a decade as manager for Ireland (commercial).
Thatcham, the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre, has appointed Jason Moseley as director of quality and business systems.
Devonshire Claims Services has recruited Rob March to head up its professional indemnity broking division.
March previously worked at SBJ as a divisional director.

Whitehouse was previously head of banking for financial services.

Martin Drury, risk services director of corporate insurance and risk management broker Alliance, has been appointed to the CBI's health and safety steering group.
Andy Hale has joined Axiom Consulting as senior client manager, corporate clients, accounting services.
Hale previously worked at Lloyd's as financial controller for AEGIS.
Mondial UK has appointed Stuart Peall as business development manager. Peall joins from online marketing firmyouatwork.
Hitachi Capital has appointed Angela Allison as public relations manager. Allison has previously worked at Hilton International and Galileo.
NIG has appointed Julian Rhodes as regional manager of its London City office.
Rhodes will be responsible for achieving profitable development of NIG's commercial business in the regions, as part of the firm's strategy to build local expertise in this area and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the broker channel.
Rhodes has 25 years' industry experience and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Chartered Insurer.
He has held management roles at AXA, Towergate Underwriting Group and most recently AIG Europe, where he was business development manager.
Rhodes said: "I am very pleased to be joining NIG at an exciting stage in the development of the business. NIG is able to tap into the resources available from the RBS group and is set to achieve its ambition of being a top-three SME insurer".
Rhodes lives with wife Debbie, three children and two step-children in North Hertfordshire. His interests include music, golf, travelling and fine wine.
