He spent the majority of his career at A Plan Insurance as manager of the Oxford branch. Tim Phillips-White becomes insurer relations technician. He was previously a commercial underwriter for Norwich Union, before joining the Financial Ombudsman Service three years ago.The broker relations team is being headed up by Richard Scragg, broker relations executive. He spent more than 20 years at Britannic Assurance in underwriting and process management, Steve West, a former Bennetts insurance consultant, has been appointed as broker relations technician and Zena Broomhall takes on the role of membership controller from a previous position within Misys Financial Systems.

UKI PartnershipsUKI Partnerships has appointed Michelle Pearson as client relationship manager to its affinity insurance partnerships sector.Pearson is responsible for managing insurance partnerships with clients including RSPCA, Caravan Club and Holiday Extras. She has 15 years' experience in the industry and was previously an analyst with UKI Partnerships. She also spent ten years working at Norwich Union in various roles, including the management of Norwich Union's Abbey National account.

MacDonald BlackMacDonald Black Insurance Brokers, a trading division of Charlton Commercial Insurance Brokers, has appointed David Burstow.Burstow has joined MacDonald Black's Glasgow office as an account executive. He was previously at Allianz Cornhill as a development executive.

Keelan Westall Commercial property insurance specialist Keelan Westall has appointed Felicity Fitchett to head up its renewals team.Westall joins the Bordon-based company from Legal & General (L&G), where she spent 33 years. At L&G she worked as a personal lines underwriter, and finally as deputy claims manager for household, motor and travel contribution.

RFIB GroupDavid Martin has been appointed to finance director of RFIB Group.Martin started his career with Tansley Witt & Co. He later worked for the insurance division of Jardine Matheson in Hong Kong for five years, before moving to Standard Chartered Bank. On returning to the UK in 1989, Martin joined RFIB and was most recently financial controller prior to this appointment.

Towry Law Insurance Brokers Rob Batham has joined Towry Law Insurance Brokers as an account executive. Batham, based in the Leeds office, has joined the commercial insurance team and will be responsible for looking after part of the portfolio of corporate clients handled by Towry Law.Batham has 25 years' industry experience. He previously worked as a loss adjuster, most recently with Cunningham Lindsey.

Allianz Cornhill EngineeringJonathan Oldfield has been appointed account development manager at Allianz Cornhill Engineering, based in London.Oldfield has more than ten years of experience in the engineering insurance and inspection market, six of which were spent with Allianz Cornhill Engineering in Birmingham. In his new role he is responsible for national broker business.

Aviva Aviva has appointed two new non-executive directors.Russell Walls is an non-executive director of Signet Group and the senior non-executive director of Stagecoach Group. Before his retirement in 2002 he was group finance director of BAA and prior to that had been group finance director of Wellcome and Coats Viyella. He is a former senior non-executive director of Hilton Group and a former non-executive director of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company.Richard Goeltz is currently a non-executive director of the Warnaco Group, Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac) and New Germany Fund. During his career he has worked as chief financial officer of NatWest Group, American Express Company and The Seagram Company.The appointments will take effect from 3 May 2004.

Temple Legal ProtectionTemple Legal Protection has appointed Rocco Pirozzolo to its board. In his new role as director of legal underwriting, Pirozzolo is heading up Temple's after-the-event insurance division. Before joining Temple, Pirozzolo worked for Capita Assistance in the legal department and legal business development department. His responsibilities included reviewing Capita's range of before- and after-the-event products.

Zurich ProfessionalAnna Fleming has been appointed claims manager for Zurich Professional.Fleming has 12 years of experience in the legal profession. Prior to her appointment at Zurich Professional she worked at Barlow, Lyde & Gilbert as a senior associate within the professional liability and commercial litigation department.

Finsure Finsure has appointed Scott Feltham as regional sales executive for the Western Home Counties, South West and Wales. Feltham's responsibilities are to build on Finsure's existing relationships in these regions and to offer brokers a local contact.Feltham previously worked for Zurich in a number of roles, both in a call centre environment and as a business development executive covering at different times the South West, East Anglia, and South East London.

WHCGBill Jarvis has joined insurance law firm WHCG as a partner.Jarvis was previously a partner with Elborne Mitchell. He was a founding partner of Jarvis and Bannister, and head of the insurance and reinsurance group at Hextalls.Robert Wilson is also joining WHCG as a partner. Wilson is a specialist reinsurance lawyer and has previously worked at Holman Fenwick, Jarvis and Bannister, and Hextalls.

Fishburns Specialist professional indemnity firm Fishburns has promoted Simon Mason to partner. Mason was previously at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, before joining Fishburns in 1996. He has experience in professional indemnity cases involving accountants, financial advisers, insurance brokers and surveyors.

Belfor Restoration specialist Belfor has promoted Kerry Parkes to national sales manager.Parkes' previous positions have been in pre-disaster sales and more recently as the key account manager for Belfor's insurer clients, a role he will continue.In his new role Parkes will manage client co-ordinators Claire Fawlk, based in the South, and Richard Storton, based in the North and Scotland, helping them develop Belfor's relationship with loss adjusters. Parkes will also have responsibility for commercial insurers through Simon Berry and direct pre-appointments with organisations through Simon Gilbert.

Gray PageMaritime intelligence, investigations and security consultancy Gray Page has appointed ex-Royal Marine Rupert Scott-Jackson to its board of directors.During his time in the armed services, Scott-Jackson managed the pre-emptive survey programme for ships, ports and offshore oil installations as well as lecturing and assessing at the Forces Tri-service Chemical Biological, Radiological & Nuclear training centre.
