Groupama Personal Insurances has appointed Neil Woodhouse as project implementation manager within its sales and distribution team.

Based in the group's London office, his responsibilities include implementing business objectives in the personal insurance division, with particular reference to the sales and distribution arena.

Petplan
Pet insurer Petplan has appointed Nick Poole as commercial director, in charge of the sales and marketing division. His responsibilities will include overseeing service delivery across all channels of distribution, including telephone, new media and traditional lines of business throughout the UK. Poole will also be responsible for brand and product development, as well as overseeing all external communications, including advertising and public relations.

He was previously with Epoch Software as marketing director.

Lesley Proctor has been appointed to the post of claims manager, responsible for the Claims Start reception service. Proctor was previously claims project manager at AGF.

Primary Global insurance provider Primary Group has made two appointments.

Jonathan Hodes becomes group finance director. Prior to joining Primary, he was finance director at QAS Systems.

John Boardman joins as group IT director. He was previously with Chubb Insurance Company of Europe, where he was responsible for setting up and leading its IT group.

Specialist Lloyd's broker RL Davison & Co has announced the appointment of Richard Stiling as an account executive in its commercial department. His role involves handling commercial, property and liability risks for both wholesale and direct clients. He was previously with Independent Insurance.

Ian Stevenson joins as international property underwriter and James Wackrow and Jonathon Perkins are appointed as actuaries.

Stevenson has more than 20 years' underwriting and broking experience. He joins non-marine syndicate 1096 to develop the company's international property book.

James Wackrow and Jonathon Perkins join the group's actuarial department. Wackrow has more than eight years' experience in both general and life insurance, while Perkins has more than eight years' experience in general insurance.

GAB Robins has appointed Matthew Thomas as fidelity guarantee adjuster, based in the London head office.

He was previously with Marsh, where he was a claims consultant for large corporate clients.

Meridio, the UK-based enterprise document and content management software specialist, has appointed Roger Johnston as vice president of business development.

Johnston will be responsible for developing Meridio's partnership network with consultancy companies, systems integrators and technology partners across Europe.

Prior to joining Meridio, Johnston worked as vice president of Europe at Avalanche Technology. He has sixteen years' experience in the IT industry, having worked for Andersen Consulting and Coopers & Lybrand, as well as other start-up companies.
