Groupama
Groupama Personal Insurances has appointed Neil Woodhouse as project implementation manager within its sales and distribution team.

Based in the group's London office, his responsibilities include implementing business objectives in the personal insurance division, with particular reference to the sales and distribution arena.

Petplan
Pet insurer Petplan has appointed Nick Poole as commercial director, in charge of the sales and marketing division. His responsibilities will include overseeing service delivery across all channels of distribution, including telephone, new media and traditional lines of business throughout the UK. Poole will also be responsible for brand and product development, as well as overseeing all external communications, including advertising and public relations.

He was previously with Epoch Software as marketing director.

Allianz Cornhill
Lesley Proctor has been appointed to the post of claims manager, responsible for the Claims Start reception service. Proctor was previously claims project manager at AGF.

Primary Global insurance provider Primary Group has made two appointments.

Jonathan Hodes becomes group finance director. Prior to joining Primary, he was finance director at QAS Systems.

John Boardman joins as group IT director. He was previously with Chubb Insurance Company of Europe, where he was responsible for setting up and leading its IT group.

Cassidy Davis Insurance Group
Cassidy Davis Insurance Group announces the appointment of Aidan Plumridge to the position of senior creditor underwriter. He joins from Sterling Insurance Group and has more than 20 years' experience.

Blackmore Insurance Agency
Blackmore Insurance Agency has appointed Simon Dell as managing director. He joins from Lloyd's broker Sterling Hamilton Wright, where he worked for more than two years.

RL Davison & Co
Specialist Lloyd's broker RL Davison & Co has announced the appointment of Richard Stiling as an account executive in its commercial department. His role involves handling commercial, property and liability risks for both wholesale and direct clients. He was previously with Independent Insurance.

Chaucer
Chaucer Syndicates, the managing agency subsidiary of Chaucer Holdings, has made three appointments to strengthen its underwriting and actuarial teams.

Ian Stevenson joins as international property underwriter and James Wackrow and Jonathon Perkins are appointed as actuaries.

Stevenson has more than 20 years' underwriting and broking experience. He joins non-marine syndicate 1096 to develop the company's international property book.

James Wackrow and Jonathon Perkins join the group's actuarial department. Wackrow has more than eight years' experience in both general and life insurance, while Perkins has more than eight years' experience in general insurance.

GAB Robins
GAB Robins has appointed Matthew Thomas as fidelity guarantee adjuster, based in the London head office.

He was previously with Marsh, where he was a claims consultant for large corporate clients.

Scott Rees & Co Legal
Scott Rees & Co has created a fresh management tier with the appointment of four associates.

Solicitors Gillian Carlisle, Cathryn Farrell, Catherine Groom and David Byrne have each been promoted to the newly created position of associate.

All four associates specialise in varying aspects of personal injury law, as well as civil litigation.

Cooper Gay & Co
Malcolm Harvey has been appointed director of Cooper Gay & Co London. He will assume specific responsibility within the non-marine division for business development in Europe and Asia.

Harvey was previously an executive director of the international non-marine division at Heath Lambert Group.

Turner Parkinson
Turner Parkinson has appointed Mark Hilton to its commercial litigation department. He is charged with developing the firm's client portfolio in and around Manchester city centre. He was previously with DLA.

Meridio
Meridio, the UK-based enterprise document and content management software specialist, has appointed Roger Johnston as vice president of business development.

Johnston will be responsible for developing Meridio's partnership network with consultancy companies, systems integrators and technology partners across Europe.

Prior to joining Meridio, Johnston worked as vice president of Europe at Avalanche Technology. He has sixteen years' experience in the IT industry, having worked for Andersen Consulting and Coopers & Lybrand, as well as other start-up companies.

Elliston (UK) has appointed Miles Robinson to join Ian Fordham, Matt Holland, Phil Priest and Rosie Vaughan at its London insurance/ reinsurance consultancy.

Vehicle glass repair and replacement specialist Autoglass has appointed Chris Thornton as its new business development director.

Chris joins from the RAC, where he was head of development.
