Invaluable, which provides information on the art and antiques market, has appointed James Scott Brown as new business development director. He joins from loss adjuster McLarens Toplis. He previously worked for Ellis and Buckley and as an auctioneer for Phillips.

Nicola Burchell is the new marketing manager at travel insurance and assistance firm Mondial Assistance. She was previously product controller for aftersales marketing at Porsche Cars Great Britain.

Mark Batten has become head of Pricewaterhousecoopers (PWC) Insurance Restructuring Group. He was previously the leader of PWC's value consulting practice, where he undertook corporate finance consulting work. Batten has more than 12 years' corporate restructuring experience.
