Peoples Choice
Siobhan Greenhalgh has been appointed sales controller overseeing 75 staff at telebroker Peoples Choice. Greenhalgh has 10 years' experience in the insurance industry which includes working at the AA and AGF Help. She was formerly a sales team leader at Peoples Choice.

Lloyd's
Nick Vine has been appointed a director of the board of United Insurance Brokers at Lloyd's. He was previously head of UIB's aviation division. Vine joined UIB three years ago, since when he has spearheaded the broker's expansion of its aviation division attracting clients from Russia, Africa and the Middle East.


Claims Managers

Accidentcare Group
Claims management solutions provider Accidentcare Group has made two senior appointments.
Simon Rigby has been appointed head of the group's affinity marketing business. He was formerly an associate director at brokerage Lambert Fenchurch. Patrick Smith is appointed head of insurer services.
His previous post was strategic and business manager at Miller Firstline part of the Miller Fisher Group.


Insurers

NIG
NIG has made two new appointments in its commercial insurance division. Aase Christensen is appointed product development underwriter responsible for the formulation of underwriting policy. She joins NIG from Royal & Sunalliance. Gary Jump is appointed product manager in charge of the management and development of commercial accounts, including intranet and internet facilities.
Jump has 13 years experience in the insurance industry at firms such as Layton Blackham Group and Independent Insurance.

Independent
Independent Insurance has made two appointments. Paul Cromp has been appointed UK property underwriter, based in Edenbridge. He was previously regional underwriting manager. David Boulcott has now taken over the role of regional underwriting manager.

Wellington Underwriting
Wellington Underwriting has made two appointments. Stanley Kott is appointed chief executive officer. He was previously with NAC Re where he was an executive vice president with responsibility for its property and speciality business. Andrew Englesbe is appointed chief underwriting officer. He was previously employed by General Re.


Technology

Alexander Forbes
Chris Butler has been appointed director of Alexander Forbes' specialist third-party administration arm, E-3pa. Butler was formerly manager of Alexander Forbes' specialist software provider CTC, which includes E-3pa.

Harte-Hanks
Lucy Orme-Smith has been appointed managing director of software provider Harte-Hanks.
Orme-Smith has more than 10 years' experience in the customer relationship management software industry.

Opus Consulting Group
Jim Konig has been appointed managing director of the Opus Consulting Group. His previous post at Opus was director of risk consulting.


Legal

Shakespeares
Jennifer Oldfield and Miles Murdoch have been appointed associates of insurance legal firm Shakespeares, based in Birmingham. Oldfield specialises in claimant personal injury and medical negligence work and is a member of the Birmingham Medico-Legal Society. Murdoch joined Shakespeares in 1998. Both work in the legal firm's insurance and institutional litigation department.

KPMG
Outsourcing and consultancy firm KPMG has appointed five new partners to its financial services insurance unit. They are Karen Orr, Mike Sobers, Hitesh Patel, Graham Seymour and Robert Lewis.
