Groupama Commercial
Groupama Commercial Insurances has made two appointments. Peter O'Grady is appointed corporate development underwriter, based in Manchester. He has over 30 years underwriting experience. Alan Bassett is appointed commercial lines assistant technical manager, based in London. He was previously with Iron Trades. His experience in the insurance industry spans over 25 years.
AIG Europe
Malcolm Brown is appointed Worldrisk manager at AIG Europe. He joined AIG 23 years ago and has worked in several countries including 16 years in South East Asia and the Far East. In 1994 he returned to the UK as vice-president of Financial Lines, based in Lloyd's.
Northern Marine Underwriters
Marine Underwriter, Northern Marine Underwriters (NMU), has made four appointments to its Birmingham office. Marine underwriter, Alan Baker and assistant underwriter Nick Green have both joined from the Birmingham office of Allianz Cornhill, where they worked together on various marine accounts. Development underwriter, Duncan McClean and underwriting executive, Joanne Froggatt were both previously with CNA Maritime before joining NMU, where they also worked together. The four will be mainly writing cargo and haulier's liability business.
Link Insurance
Darrell Drake is appointed commercial underwriting manager at Link Insurance. He joins Link Insurance from Norwich Union.
The Underwriter
Tim Bartlett is deputy underwriter, liability, at The Underwriter Insurance Company. He was previously a liability underwriter at The Independent Insurance Company.
CIGNA Healthcare
Chris Brown is appointed medical director at CIGNA Healthcare. Based at the administrative headquarters in Greenock, Scotland, he will spearhead CIGNA's medical department and continue development of CIGNA's managed care service.

Property and Casualty Services
Property and Casualty Services has made two appointments. David Swain is appointed risk control surveyor, based in Birmingham. He previously worked as a specialist surveyor for CGU. Susan Arblaster is appointed vocational case manager of the pro-care team, based in Leeds. Susan joins PCS from Cunningham Ellis & Buckle.
TECHNOLOGY
New Millennium Technologies
New Millennium Technologies has made several appointments.
Barry Singh is appointed managing director. He joined the company in October 1999 as operations director. A new sales team has also been formed. Alan Dempster was appointed national sales manager in June. He joined New Millennium Technologies from The Agency Manager. Oliver Collenette, who is also from The Agency Manager, Russell Goulding, previously at PolicyMaster and Alex Latham, previously at Quotel, have all become sales executives. Chris Jones is promoted to insurer product manager. Prior to joining NMT he was with Cornhill & Endsleigh.
Wildnet
Justin Emrich is appointed senior VP business development of Wildnet new media group. He will head the business development division. His previous position was as IT manager at Lloyd's agency Beazley.

Portman Building Society
Stuart Deane is appointed insurance development manager at Portman Building Society. He was previously a business relationship consultant at Liverpool Victoria. He has 15 years of experience in the insurance industry.
