Bristow has more than 24 years experience in the insurance industry and has worked previously for Royal & SunAlliance and GRE. Paul Jennings is appointed senior corporate development underwriter. Jennings has more than 20 years experience and has previously worked for Sampo, Colonia Baltica and Gan.

Liz Catchpole is appointed chief financial officer at Swiss Re Life & Health. She was previously executive finance with ERC Frankona Reassurance. Catchpole is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds an MBA from Cranfield University.

Allan Kaufman is appointed head of the insurance division at Bacon & Woodrow. He has more than 20 years experience in insurance consulting. Kaufman became a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society in 1971 and previously spent eight years with KPMG Peat Marwick.

Julio Koch and Michael Tripp are appointed partners at Watson Wyatt. Koch experience includes mergers and acquisitions, product development, benchmarking, financial reporting, market studies and asset liability management. Tripp experience includes marketing, strategic and business planning, pricing, distribution, operations management, merger and acquisition activity.

Maria Ross is appointed partner at Norton Rose. She joined Norton Rose as a trainee solicitor in 1989 and qualified in 1991. Ross is a corporate finance lawyer, specialising in the insurance and financial services sectors.

She was previously managing director of Stephens Insurance with 18 years experience in business development and management in the National & Provincial, Gateway and Britannia Building Societies.

His responsibilities will include managing International SOS existing security contracts for Europe Middle East and Africa, developing new business and establishing an information network.
