Miller

Greg Collins has been app-ointed as a board director of Miller Insurance Services.

Collins joined Miller from Aon in May 2004 and is res-ponsible for the professional, financial and healthcare business areas and UK corporate clients.

Insurer

Allianz

Allianz Commercial has appointed Alex Stuart as regional manager, North West and Scotland.

Previously regional manager for Scotland, Stuart will man-age the newly expanded region and will oversee the development of commercial lines business across all dist-ribution channels in Scotland.

Iain Stewart Hill has been appointed as Glasgow branch manager.

Iain joined the company in 1984 and was previously development manager for new business in Scotland.

Allianz Personal has appointed Jason Bashford as key account developer.

He brings 20 years’ experience of the personal lines market.

Bashford’s responsibilities will include developing personal lines business through a panel of intermediaries including high street, internet and wholesale brokers as well as multinational companies with existing policy wordings.

Chubb

Chubb Insurance has appointed Alex Christians as senior underwriter and legal counsel to the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team.

He joins from Reed Smith Richards Butler, where he was a senior solicitor in the corporate group.

Christians has over seven years’ experience of UK and cross-border M&A deals and has extensive experience of arranging specialist insurance products for corporate transactions.

Legal

Weightmans

Weightmans has announced three new promotions to partner.

Former associates Carys Oatham and Gerard Hanratty in London and Graham Dean in Liverpool have been made partners.

Weightmans has also expanded its commercial property team with the appointment of Stephen Whittaker as a partner.

He joins from Druces & Attlee along with assistant Sarah Bainbridge.

Sigma

Sigma Claims Solutions has appointed Stuart Main as branch manager of Glasgow.

Main was previously a senior liability adjuster at Garwyn.

Sigma has promoted Greig Birrell to the new position of regional manager, North East.

Birrell has worked for Sigma since 2003, as a senior liability adjuster. He previously worked for Crawford as a liability adjuster and branch manager.

He will be based at Sigma’s Leeds branch.

Sigma has also announced the appointment of Mark Burke as branch manager of Bury St Edmunds.

Burke previously worked for Garwyns as an adjuster.

He will provide general liability adjusting services to clients in East Anglia.

Woodgate & Clark

Woodgate & Clark has appointed Nick Michell as major loss director.

Michell will be heading the major loss claims division in conjunction with its team of qualified major loss adjusters.

He joins from Crawfords where he was a major loss specialist.

LV=

LV= has announced the appointment of Dennis Holt as chairman.

He replaces current chair-man John Woolhouse from 1 July 2007.

Holt joined the friendly society’s board in September 2006, having retired from the AXA group in June 2006.

Mazars

Mazars has hired Serena Joseph as a partner.

She will spearhead the expansion of the firm’s regulatory advisory practice.

Joseph will work with the firm’s financial services clients on all aspects of FSA regulation, focusing on the move to a principles-based regulatory approach.

She joins from Ernst & Young.

Watson Wyatt

Watson Wyatt has appointed Sanjiv Chandaria as leader of its insurance and financial services non-life practice in London.

Mathieson-Ingham

Mathieson-Ingham has appointed Linda Eaton to its complex loss division.

Eaton will be responsible for providing backup services, including client liaison.

She joins from Questgates.

JDC Consultants

Michael Kelly and Nicolas Neill-Fraser have been appointed by JDC Consultants.

Kelly joins as manager, special services. He has previously worked for Kemper, Re AC, and Monde Re.

Neill-Fraser has joined as business development manager.

He will be responsible for the management of current projects, both in London and overseas.

He joins from R.K.Carvill.

Mondial

Aimee Charlwood has been appointed by Mondial as business development manager.

Charlwood will be responsible for the easyJet travel insurance account.
