Fidelma Healy
Standard Life has announced the appointment of Fidelma Healy to the role of assistant general manager, human resources and corporate services. Healy joined Standard Life in December 1998 in the position of human resources manager, having spent the previous few years working as human resources director for a computer software company. Healy also has previous experience of the insurance industry, having worked for more than four years as human resources manager with Friends First.
Declan Sweeney
Standard Life has appointed Declan Sweeney, QFA, to the position of national accounts manager. Prior to the appointment, Sweeney worked as a senior sales consultant in the Dublin region. Sweeney joined Standard Life in 1988. He is also a graduate of the Marketing Institute.
Cian Mahony
Standard Life has appointed Cian Mahony as broker consultant in Cork. Prior to the appointment Mahony studied computer science at the Cork Institute of Technology before taking up a full-time contract with the Irish Rugby Union, joining the Munster Rugby Squad.
Neil McSherry
Neil McSherry has joined Liberty International's Dublin-based Irish operation as casualty manager. McSherry has been active in the Irish market for the past five years, having previously specialised in liability and risk management in the London insurance market.
Jonathan Powell
Jonathan Powell has joined Liberty International's Dublin office as senior underwriter. He will specialise in liability and property lines and has more than 15 years' experience. He has worked in the Irish, Channel Islands and Bristol markets.
Neil O'Brien
Neil O'Brien is to join Liberty International's Dublin-based financial lines department. Specialising in professional indemnity. O'Brien has substantial experience of the local Irish market .

Reed Insurance Selection has announced the appointment of Dario Cavaliere as recruitment consultant in the financial services sector. Cavaliere joins Reed with more than two years previous recruitment experience gained in the Irish market.

RJ Wallace Syndicates (Ireland) announced the appointment of Gerry Ambrose to its board of directors in January 2002.
