Whitelight Systems has been awarded a US patent for its ActiveRules modelling technology, offering business users easy analysis of complex problems like risk management and customer relationship management.
ActiveRules, the technology that is at the core of WhiteLight's Analytic Application Server 2.0, enables users to create highly sophisticated analytical models.
The WhiteLight Analytic Application Server connects to databases and a number of other information sources.
WhiteLight's vice president of marketing Lee Harris said: "It turns out that there is a small set of meta rules that can govern the order of nearly every kind of calculation. It is that breakthrough that is the basis for the patent."
