Watson Wyatt announced today that Mike Hawes is to join its Insurance & Financial Services Practice.

He will be based at Watson Wyatt's European headquarters in Reigate and will start on 1 August.

Hawes previously worked for Old Mutual where he was appointed actuary and a company director of Selestia, Old Mutual's investment arm for UK independent financial advisers.

The head of Watson Wyatt's Insurance & Financial Services Practice, Nick Dumbreck, said: "Mike brings experience of the development of the business proposition, pricing, financial plans and regulatory authorisation of a range of products, including ISAs, unit trusts, on/offshore bonds and pensions. He will be a great asset to the team."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
