Richard Mangion joins from rival insurer WR Berkley Europe
Industrial insurer HDI-Gerling has hired Richard Mangion as finance and operations director of its UK branch.
He joins from rival insurer WR Berkley Europe, where he was chief financial officer. He has previously worked at Everest Re and Aspen Re.
Mangion will form part of HDI-Gerling’s UK and Ireland executive team along with managing director Richard Taylor and corporate division director Alan Waters.
Taylor said: “Richard is a great addition to our team, bringing invaluable finance and operational experience and expertise, which will be vital in supporting our ongoing strategic growth plans.”
Mangion added: “The HDI-Gerling business in the UK continues to go from strength to strength and I am greatly looking forward to joining a firm of this stature, with its strong financial backing, and respected and talented team.”
