IBM has launched DecisionEdge Version 1.2, an IT solution to help develop client loyalty and management programmes.

The package enables insurers to gather, manage and analyse customer and transaction data for the purpose of turning it into usable information.

The previous version of DecisionEdge included tools such as Underwriting Profitability Analysis; Customer and Prospect Optimizer – a tool to help insurers support intermediaries by distributing sales leads; and a campaign management application.

The new tools enable firms to direct marketing campaigns more precisely.

Further features of 1.2 include identification of areas where marketing campaigns could work, and more detailed mapping of the insurer's business model.

DecisionEdge makes up part of IBM's Insurance Architecture Application. This allows companies to adopt components step by step instead of wholesale.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
