Insurers with preferred supplier agreements with furniture retailer Courts were looking at alternative suppliers after the retailer went into administration on Tuesday
A number of insurers, including Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA), have ongoing arran-gements with the company.
An R&SA spokeswoman said: "I can confirm that R&SA does have a relationship with Courts, although the size of this is modest in comparison with some of our other partners.
"Our relationship with Courts primarily operates using a voucher scheme, so in the event of Courts ceasing to trade R&SA would exchange the customer's vouchers for cash, which the customer could spend as they wish."
