Merged business to trade as J Bennett & Son.
High Wycombe insurance broking firms J. Bennett & Son (Insurance Brokers) and D G Carr & Co have announced plans to merge.
As of 1 February, the businesses will trade as J Bennett & Son (Insurance Brokers). Peter Sutcliffe, proprietor of D G Carr & Co, will become a director of J. Bennett & Son. All D G Carr staff will move into J. Bennett & Son’s office on High Wycombe High Street. The business will have 16 staff in High Wycombe and is one of the few fully independent brokers left in the area.
J. Bennett & Son’s managing director, Simon Bennett, said: “It is a natural progression for us and is our fifth acquisition in the past 20 years. We celebrated our centenary this year and are very pleased that we have been able to mark it with a significant deal involving such a long established and such a respected firm as D G Carr & Co."
