Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) said it has strengthened its Liverpool office with the appointment of two development executives in its insurance broking division.

Simon Labone is joining JLT from Griffiths & Armour in London. Labone previously specialised in professional indemnity insurance but his new responsibilities will include the development of new clients for JLT's corporate division, said he company.

Duncan Riach, who joins from Royal & SunAlliance, will develop JLT's regional unit specialising in insurance provision for SME businesses across the Northwest.

Labone and Riach will report directly to Ged Murray and Colin Aitchison respectively.

JLT said the two appointments reflected the company's commitment to the Northwest's business community.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
