Kiln has appointed Roger Bickmore to lead the company's business development function.
Bickmore was previously managing director of Aon Underwriting Management.
The company said Bickmore will be spearheading its drive to develop new and existing markets and sources of business.
Kiln's chief executive officer Edward Creasy said: "The appointment of Roger Bickmore to the role of business development manager at Kiln is the logical next step in Kiln's well established strategy of building strong, mutually beneficial relationships, developing a variety of revenue streams and maximising the impact of our strong brand.
Bickmore will join Kiln on 1 August.
