Olivier Muraire appointed as general manager of LIU’s French operations
Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), a division of global insurer Liberty Mutual Group, has added Olivier Muraire as General Manager of LIU’s operations in France.
Based in Paris, Mr. Muraire is tasked with continuing the development of Liberty’s French operations.
Prior to joining Liberty, Mr. Muraire was the CEO and Partner for Sogecore – a captive manager in Luxembourg, Dublin and Zurich. Between 2003 and 2007, he was general manager for ACE European Group France following on from ten years at Commercial Union Assurance (France).
Sean Rocks, LIU’s Chief Executive Officer in Europe, said: “Olivier Muraire has a tremendous wealth of experience across the insurance spectrum from loss adjusting to broking and underwriting. With achievements such as the creation and management of the French market ‘medmal pool’ in 2002 on his CV, he is a very good appointment for us as we look to continue with our ambitious plans to build our continental operation.”
