Independent broker agency LifeQuote has added accident, sickness and unemployment cover (ASU) and Disability Income Benefit to its product range.

LifeQuote managing director Michael Ward said: "The addition of ASU and Disability Income Benefit will provide brokers who are members of LifeQuote with more opportunities to increase their service to clients and their own income streams."

The company added that through its website, advisers could now provide clients with instant quotes on a range of related insurances including decreasing term insurance, life and critical illness packaged products.

The ASU offering provides cover free for the first three months. Clients can opt for accident and sickness only, unemployment only or full ASU, for up to 12 months after either a 30 or 60 day waiting period. Cover is underwritten by Pinnacle Assurance.

Disability Income Benefit is offered on an "own occupation" and "work tasks" definition of disability on 4, 13, 26 or 52 week deferred periods.

Cover for house-persons is also available and commission to brokers rises to the equivalent of premiums paid over 13.5 months.
